Welcome Dr. Larson PDF Print E-mail

dr_larsonDr. Larson received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his Medical Degree from Rush University in Chicago as part of a United States Air Force scholarship program. His Internal Medicine Residency was completed at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. He then completed his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowships at Wilford Hall and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Dr. Larson completed his training in 2006 and was appointed Clinical Chief for the Department of Gastroenterology at Wilford Hall. He also held a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine.

Dr. Larson has published numerous research papers and has presented his research at national meetings. He has a strong interest in treating patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Other areas of interest are capsule endoscopy, colon cancer prevention and functional bowel diseases. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and is also board certified in Internal Medicine.
