Dr.
Lyons earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in microbiology and immunology
from The University of Idaho. He completed his medical studies at The Uniformed
Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.
After his residency in internal medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center in
Tacoma, Dr. Lyons completed a gastroenterology fellowship at Walter Reed Army
Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Since returning to the Northwest, Dr. Lyons has been actively involved in
research and teaching. He has authored numerous abstracts, journal articles and
textbook chapters.
Dr. Lyons is a clinical assistant professor at The University of Washington
School of Medicine in Seattle and is a Fellow of the American College of
Gastroenterology. He was instrumental in the development of our Northwest
Swallowing Center and our program for treatment of patients with Hepatitis C.
