Judith is a graduate of Stanford University and has served two years in the US Navy. After taking time to raise a family, she completed her Master's degree and her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Washington.

Judith has practiced emergency medicine at Cascade Community Hospital, family practice at Group Health, research at the VA Hospital and spent two years in the Community Health Care system in Tacoma. During this period she also served as a volunteer firefighter in University Place.

She has worked the last fifteen years at the Western Clinic, now known as Franciscan Medical Group. She maintained a large family practice. All who know her describe her as caring and always with a wonderful sense of humor and goodwill. She continues with her community volunteer involvement and is particularly interested in raising funds for Mary Bridge Hospital and tutoring with the Werlin program in Tacoma.
